Driving lesson prices – Why such a big difference?

I’ve noticed that driving lesson prices can vary a lot from one school to another, even within the same city. Some schools are super cheap but don’t seem very reliable, while others charge more but have better reviews. For those of you who’ve compared driving lesson prices, what made you decide where to go? Did you pick based on cost alone, or was reputation more important?
